Fundraising—MatchOurMatch
As some of you know, Match Day is the day med students find out where they will continue their training and begin their journey as doctors. It’s a special day for the students, and typically a memory most doctors hold fondly forever. Part of that tradition is for each student to drop money in a doctor’s bag as their name is called. The last name called gets the cash. Well, this year the formal Match ceremony was cancelled, do to the CoVid-19 global health crisis, and the M4 class decided to do something different.
The UMMC Food Fund is delivering COVID Care Kits to the food-insecure, elderly, immunocompromised, and home-bound.
They are operating at max capacity and have to turn down many in need.
As a class, they are donating their “Match money” to the UMMC Food Fund and are challenging the faculty and admin at UMMC to #MatchOurMatch.
Please consider partnering with the M4 class by donating whatever you can on Venmo @UMCSCOM2020.
